How it works

Iron is the mineral your red blood cells use to carry oxygen. When your levels run low, everything runs low with them — energy, focus, exercise capacity, even mood. An iron infusion delivers iron directly into your bloodstream, bypassing the digestive absorption that makes oral iron slow for some people and uncomfortable for others.

Iron IV starts with a conversation and an iron panel, not a booking. Iron is one of the few nutrients where more is not better, so your clinician confirms your levels first, then plans a dose that fits your labs, your history, and your goals. The infusion itself takes about 30–60 minutes in the lounge chair, monitored throughout.

What a visit looks like

Step 01

Consult & labs

We review your health history and confirm your iron status with a recent panel — or run one for you.

Step 02

Personalized plan

Your clinician sets the dose and number of sessions your labs actually call for.

Step 03

IV placement

A registered nurse who specializes in IV therapy places your IV.

Step 04

Monitored session

30–60 relaxed minutes in the chair, monitored throughout. Then carry on with your day.

Questions, answered

Yes. Iron is one of the few nutrients where excess is as real a concern as deficiency, so we confirm low iron before we infuse it. Bring an iron panel from the last 90 days or so, or our Functional Medicine team can arrange testing.
For many people oral iron works — and if it is working for you, keep going. Patients explore infusions when pills upset their stomach, when absorption is limited, or when months of oral iron haven’t moved their labs.
Iron infusions are administered by trained clinicians after a review of your health history, and every session is monitored. That is also why we insist on labs first — the dose has to fit the person.
It depends on your labs and your plan — some patients need one, some need a short series. Your clinician will tell you plainly what your numbers call for, then re-test to confirm it worked.
Iron stores rebuild over days to weeks, not minutes. Your clinician will set honest expectations at the consult — and re-check your labs so progress is measured, not guessed.

Think low iron might be the reason?

Start with a consult and an iron panel. If your levels are low, we’ll plan the fix together — and if they’re not, we’ll tell you that too.
